Medical Reception Executive Administrator

Experienced medical receptionist / administrator required to join our friendly team in a private medical clinic in Woolloongabba on a part time basis (22 hrs/week). Potential to increase to full time for the right person. Immediate start.

Requirements

We require a well presented, highly responsible, enthusiastic and self motivated person with excellent customer service skills. This is an Executive Receptionist position and we are therefore looking for a high calibre individual. The role would suit someone who lives locally to Woolloongabba and available to work on an ongoing basis. Hourly pay rate (Health Professionals and Support Service Award 2010) and will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls and email enquiries
  • Welcome patients, form filling, providing tea/coffee
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Electronic and manual processing of patient correspondence / medical reports / referrals
  • Typing of medical correspondence
  • Providing quotes, invoicing and processing payments by medicare, easyclaim
  • Maintaining the cleaning and sanitising of all areas in the clinic
  • Ensure all telephone messages/post are passed on in a timely manner
  • Carry out admin tasks as requested by Practice manager and medical staff
  • Loading/unloading laundry, ironing, vacuuming, mopping
  • Transporting patients to/from vehicle in wheelchair as required

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in medical reception essential
  • Excellent computer skills including word processor, spreadsheets, databases and email is essential
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong telephone speaking skills
  • Must have a strong interest in medicine, science and biology
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and to multi task
  • Willingness to learn as well as contribute ideas
  • Fast learner and willingness to receive in person training
  • Ability to carry out tasks in a timely manner
  • Good sense of humour and empathetic nature
