We are establishing a 24 month appointment pool for vacancies that arise up to 30 June 2023.

We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency. One position is available for immediate filling. Most of our Electrical students are at our Balga Campus however as we are a multi-campus institution you may be required to work from more than one campus.

About the roleWe are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in Electrical trades to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area, including apprentice, pre-apprenticeship and pre-vocational.

The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

NM TAFE prefers lecturers to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or TAE40110 and the additional skill sets referred to in Schedule 1, Item 2 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015. You are still eligible to apply if you do not yet hold these credentials but we may require you to obtain the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 prior to appointment, irrespective of holding other adult education qualifications.

EligibilityTo be eligible for employment you must hold Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Trades; candidates will also require at least five (5) years industry experience, plus current electrical licence.
