Cloud Project Manager

Your team
Information Technology Services provides a wide range of IT facilities and support services to ASIC. We make use of the latest technology with an increasing focus on data sharing and analytics which will make ASIC a 'best in class' regulator supporting the Australian financial markets.
As a Cloud Project Manager, you will be required to:

* Blend your project management and technical skillets to deliver a variety of infrastructure and application migration & modernisation related projects as part of a multi-year Cloud Program of work;
* Managing cloud and technology solutions delivery ensuring alignment with the enterprise technology roadmap and cloud strategy;
* Using your experience to drive solution excellence that supports the Cloud Program outcomes;
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal IT and ASIC stakeholders as well as external stakeholders where appropriate;
* Complying with the ASIC Project Management Method, which is based on PRINCE2, and System Development Method.
* Driving projects to deliver within the approved KPIs: time, budget, scope, quality, risk and benefit;
* Embedding the change utilising the ASIC Organisational Change Management Framework;
* Providing appropriate reporting to relevant project boards, sponsors and stakeholders;
* Controlling the project using appropriate tools and escalating early to minimize risk to success;

About you

* Minimum 7 years project management experience, with involvement in large, business critical systems and Australian Government IT projects being highly regarded.
* Minimum 3 years agile delivery experience.
* Proven skills in and/or a good working knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Services, AWS API Gateway is essential.
* Experience in delivering cloud data centre projects or previous experience in a cloud system management role.
* Proven skills and/or knowledge in modern cloud data centre management and cloud platform solutions.
* Experience in managing delivery of foundational infrastructure required for cloud adoption, e.g. network, security and infrastructure in cloud environments.
* Experience in successful delivery of cloud projects requiring complex software, infrastructure and platform workload migrations.
* Experience in managing cloud consultants, architects and SMEs from leading cloud and hosting vendors and their partners/resellers.
* Understanding of what is necessary to implement security measures that comply with ACSC ISM is highly regarded.
* Current formal qualification in project management: e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK.
