JOB DESCRIPTION

Working with children up to 16 years, this is a low KPI position that offers career growth, personal development and excellent bespoke bonus structure

The Role
As an Speech Pathologist/Speech Therapist, this role will see you working with children up to the age of 16 years. With time split between, clinic, mobile and homeworking, this is a role that allows you to self-manage your time working for an NFP that focuses on the care of the patients and families rather than the pressures of billable hours and reports. The cases that this organisation handle, can vary from developmental delays, autism, concerns, and disabilities – you will have the opportunity to follow a niche interest that you may have.

Each Speech Therapist will have a bespoke structure to the way they work, and there are incentive schemes to stretch you to achieve what you want from a career or a financial bonus perspective.

The Organisation
This established not-for-profit is right at the heart of the community and has been committed to serving the community for 30 years. With great staff retention rates, excellent internal benefits, and a friendly work environment, this is a popular setting for Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dieticians, Psychologists, and behaviour specialists to thrive in. It truly is a one stop, full-service provider that is not just about filling in a referral report and moving on – the therapists within the organisation are clinically sharp and are encouraged to regularly upskill.

What a typical day looks like
With an average of 19 billable hours in a week, the focus here is on the family. This is an organisation that can provide you with direction, but it will also allow you to have input to how you handle your clients and how you can shuffle your day. If you want to handle more cases, there is a structure in place to ensure that you are incentivised and earn more. There can be elements of getting out to see clients, engage using telehealth, or if you feel more comfortable in the clinic environment, that too is fine. Working predominantly with young children up to 16 years of age, your duties will include assessments, therapy services, consultancy and practical support for Early Childhood Educators and Teachers. You will also liaise with parents/care givers offering training and skills development services relevant to the type of care required.

What you get from us

  • Generous salary and bespoke bonus structure depending on the number of patients you want to see.
  • NFP salary packing of $15,999.
  • Clinical supervision is available on a monthly basis, and regular discipline specific review meetings are held.
  • On site parking, laptop, phone and all travel reimbursement will be provided.
  • Regular team events, lunches, BBQs, networking events
  • Strong focus on professional development of our employees with generous allowances provided for approved CPD and PD programs.

What you can bring

  • you hold tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current registration with OT Australia. You will also hold or be eligible for registration with Medicare.
  • If you have experience great – there are roles for Grad to Senior level positions available.
  • You have experience or a keen interest to work within the Paediatrics area.
