One of Australia’s highly regarded, leading universities are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Officer to join their team. As an integral part of the Operations team within Corporate Services, this role plays a key role in the design and implementation of strategies, responsible for the development and delivery of training to enhance staff development.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working with the Organisational Development team, the key focus of this position is to develop, manage and deliver effective learning and development programs and organisational development initiatives to ensure that staff have the capabilities to meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, document and promote the strategic direction of learning and development opportunities
  • Proactively engage with business unit managers to ensure that new initiatives are complemented by a training and delivery solution tat fits within the parameters of the overarching learning and development strategy
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of eLearning and blended learning solutions to deliver learning programs
  • Manage function ‘Training Needs Analysis’ in line with strategic planning process and the Senior Leadership Group
  • Design, deliver and develop face to face and eLearning training solutions when required
  • Manage the costs of planned learning and development programmes
  • Implement evaluations and reporting solutions to quantify positive impacts of delivered training

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in adult education, training or education or a relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop guidelines / protocols for the use of learning management systems
  • Project Management experience - the ability to demonstrate an understanding of project management foundation
  • Ability to complete reporting requirements, including data analysis and commentary
  • Experience developing on-line/digital training content
  • Demonstrated experience developing bespoke content, facilitation and support frameworks aligned to Service Excellence
  • High level project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, to prioritise and to meet timelines in a complex environment
  • Strong organisational, change management and resilience skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management communications skills with strong ability to influence) within a dynamic environment
  • Working with Children Check clearance (must be obtained)
