About the role

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing administrative assistance to medical specialists in the daily running of the practice, where key tasks include:

  • organising consulting sessions, appointment scheduling and preparation of files
  • Scanning of documentation (for paperless practice)
  • Maintain patient billing and receipting (both inpatient and outpatient)
  • Book patients for admission and prepare necessary documentation as required
  • Prepare practice banking

What you bring

  • Experience in a specialist practice, preferably a hospital setting
  • High level of proficiency in PC applications with a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and autonomously
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, polite phone manner
