About the role

Reporting to the National Manager, Management Accounting (NMMA), the primary purpose of this role is the preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts for National Office, and to assist the NMMA with the financial reporting to the Board, the National Executive Leadership Committee and the Finance, Performance & Risk Committee. The position is also responsible for the ad-hoc measurement, analysis and interpretation of both financial and non-financial data that is key to driving business results. Reporting to the National Manager Management Accounting, the role will consult with the various stakeholders to tailor and provide meaningful reporting that assists in the management of Calvary.

You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports and relevant commentary for internal stakeholders and be actively involved in projects that require financial input. Your excellent time management and prioritisation skills will be essential to contribute to the finance team during times of heavy workload such as month end and year end to ensure that deadlines are met. With a strong attention to detail, you will assist in identifying areas of improvement, and proactively investigate issues with financial results to ensure ongoing accuracy and correct reporting. What you bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Business related field
  • Full membership to CPA Australia or CA Australia and New Zealand
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Excel
  • Proven ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
