About Calvary Public Hospital Bruce

Calvary Public Hospital Bruce (CPHB) is a 265 bed multi-discipline, modern health care facility serving the ACT community. At CPHB, our patients and their families expect a highly skilled, compassionate and dedicated workforce. Calvary staff pride themselves on ‘being for others’. The patient journey is at the centre of Calvary’s philosophy within our models of care.

The CPHB 2021 Midyear Graduate Nurse (EN) Program intake is now open and accepting applications. We wish to hear from Enrolled Nurses who are keen to pursue a distinguished and rewarding career at CPHB. This intake is for those who are eligible for commencement by the mid-August 2021.

About the Midyear 2021 EN Graduate Program

Our Midyear Graduate Program has been designed to develop you into a competent and confident EN, to facilitate professional adjustment to the workforce and to develop a commitment to a career in nursing. The program will help you to develop assessment and critical thinking skills required to effectively nurse patients with varying conditions with rotations through two clinical areas (your preferences will be taken into consideration).

You will be provided with:

- Access to a team of educators, preceptors and clinical development nurses

- Fortnightly clinical workshops

- 2 graduate study days

- Supernumerary days on each rotation

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive program that facilitates the development of the skills and knowledge required to work not only in specialised clinical settings but also in the broader clinical environment.

What you bring

We are seeking enthusiastic newly graduated enrolled nurses who embody our mission of ‘being for others’ with a positive solutions focused attitude and a willingness to learn. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team environment which will require excellent communication skills with the ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
