About Us:

Puch Construction & Building is a Federal Safety Accredited (OFSC) construction company that specialises in Government Defence projects and remediation works across a range of blue-chip clients. We pride ourselves on our impeccable project management approach and our maintenance of the highest possible occupational health and safety standards in the building and construction industry.

The Opportunity:

As a result of the continued success, we have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our project delivery team. As our newly appointedProject Manager you will be involved in the management of a range of projects through the early phases of implementation to construction and drive the project to an effective and successful conclusion. This will include:

  • Management of all stages of the project delivery including scope definition, tendering, construction, managing subcontractors, handover, and client liaisons
  • Project planning, scheduling, cost control and budgeting
  • Leading and supervising the project teams
  • Ensure projects run in line with contractual agreements and the critical path
  • Negotiating term agreements and contract inclusions with the client
  • Engagement and co-ordination of related contractors
  • Provide technical knowledge and commercial awareness to the client
  • Implement scheduling and project program timelines
  • Monitor site conditions and overall responsibility for Health & Safety
  • Attend regular project meetings with the client stakeholder groups
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants

About You:

You will ideally come from a Commercial Construction background with a solid focus as a Principal Contractor:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, including managing projects
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in building/construction, project management, engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience working in a company that is OFSC accredited
  • Team leadership experience
  • Commercial acumen
  • Experience managing projects of $4m+
  • Experience working with government contracts will be highly desirable
  • Previous experience as a principal contractor is highly desirable as well as your experience in contract management of consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Excellent client account management skills
  • Strategic, influential, and contractually astute
  • Strong planning, teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
