About The Opportunity

A fixed term opportunity has presented within our Procurement team located in Osborne. This vacancy is full time fixed term and will provide an experienced Procurement Administrator opportunity to gain valuable skills whilst contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of the Collins Class Submarine fleet to the Royal Australian Navy.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role will provide exposure to:

  • Assist in the purchasing of materials and services to support our facility and operations
  • Ensure availability of materials and that they are in accordance with objective quality evidence
  • Maintain data and metrics relating to Supply Chain and Supplier performance
  • Expedite materials on order to ensure delivery in accordance with required dates
  • Raise and monitor Requests for Quotations
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Regular review of forecasting reports to assess and mitigate potential material impacts
  • Utilise your strong attention to detail to review and cross reference objective quality evidence
  • Liaise with various stakeholders such as project teams, supply chain and the wider procurement team to ensure efficient operations
About You

The successful person will possess experience within a similar role and will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand how procurement is aligned to the business’s overall strategy.

The Successful Person Will Also Possess
  • Related qualification and/or relevant experience within a Procurement role
  • Willing and able to accommodate a fixed term contract arrangement
  • Strong skills in MS Office and knowledge of a Material Requisition Planning System
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
  • Keen interest in applying knowledge and skills to identify and recommend innovative continuous improvement practices
  • Experience in major defence contracts in a contractual and commercial capacity (preferred)
  • Eligible for membership of CIPSA (preferred)
