JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Chef de Partie and Sous Chef (2 positions)

Occupation: Chefs

Salary: $54,000 to $70,000 plus super (depending on the position and experience)

Location: Daylesford VIC

Hours: Full time 40 hours per week

Experience Required: 3 years of relevant experience

Duties:

  • To ensure that the kitchen is organised and run to the required standards.
  • planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
  • monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
  • demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
  • preparing and cooking food
  • explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
  • select and train staff
  • freeze and preserve foods
