About the Role
The Psychiatric Services Officer position enhances consumer care in the Acute Mental Health Inpatient Service and provides assistance to the Inpatient Social Workers in their role by advocating for consumers and providing specific intervention and assessment in welfare services.

Psychiatric Services Officer Grade 1 Year 1 to Year 8 - $49,290.80 - $58,739.20


  • Ensure a comprehensive assessment of needs is conducted expediently as directed by Inpatient Social Workers to escort consumers to external appointments which may include; accommodation placements, Launch Housing, Centrelink and the State Trustees Office
  • Assist with the collection of consumers personnel belongings
  • Assist consumers to obtain material aid
  • Participate in the Inpatient Group program to promote principles of recovery, ensure information of consumers rights and responsibilities are available
