What an Opportunity!

As Australia’s leading Retail Pharmacy group, we are an expanding and fast-moving business; now employing 17,000 plus staff across an international network of over 500 stores. To support our continued expansion, we are recruiting for a Demand Planner.

The position of Demand Planner is responsible for maintaining the forecasted demand for the Chemist Warehouse Supply Chain.

The primary focus and responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Maintain, report on, and manage the forward looking demand forcast; and
  • Facilitate collaboration with Supply Planners, Buyers and other key stakeholders,

so as to ensure the forecasts are used to maintain targeted inventory levels in and across the CW Retail distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver forecast accuracy by:
  • Working closely with the Buying Department to ensure demand plans reflect business strategy and planning.
  • Generating weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports, including for promotions and events.
  • Ensuring the demand planning process is timely, accurate and verifiable.
  • Analysing demand variances, identifying trends and anomalies so as to improve and maximise forecast accuracy.

Ensure the timely execution of stock deliveries that working closely with the Supplier network.Using continuous improvement methods, identify and report opportunities to maximise forecast accuracy and optimise inventory in line with business strategy

  • Where appropriate, participate in the implementation of any authorised improvements.

As and when required, perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications, Experience and Skillsets

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • 3-5 Years Demand Planning experience, or experience in a related discipline would be preferred
  • High attention to detail with the ability to interpret and action complex information
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Highly organised and with an ability to prioritise and multitask
  • A preparedness to take the initiative and a strong desire to achieve results
  • Good general IT and Computer skills
  • Values driven and leads by example.
  • Highly motivated and a preparedness to take the initiative.
  • Seeks to solve problems.
  • Results driven, seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.
