The Opportunity:

The Finance Manager will deliver end to end financial and accounting services for a portfolio of properties and the Unlisted Funds that own them. This role would require strong business partnering with asset and Fund Managers, Performance and Fund Analysts. The Finance Manager will deliver timely and accurate statutory, tax and management reporting including actuals, forecasts and budgets that provide insights to the business that enhance decision making and commercial success.

The role:

Day to day you will contribute to accounting practices across the Dexus portfolio by reporting on results internally and externally on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This will include accounting for transactions and month end processes of reviewing management accounting, balance sheet, capital expenditure, lease incentives and arrears.

The delivery of timely and accurate annual statutory financial statements is critical, including proactively managing the audit process and the preparation and presentation of papers.

You will also be required to ensure all budgets and forecasts are accurate and delivered in a timely manner, including monthly income, capital expenditure, incentives, operating expenditure, management fees and sales reporting. Analyse leasing deals and property transactions to ensure all future events impacting financial performance are well considered and communicated.

Overall you will contribute to the day-to-day delivery of value-add and commercially focused customer service to key stakeholders across the business. Property and accounting data is essential to be converted into meaningful information to improve the quality of business decisions.

About you:

We are looking for a minimum of 5 years' experience in a management or financial accounting role with exposure to management and statutory reporting. Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications and previous Big4 experience is advantageous.

You will be a natural at engaging and influencing at all levels across the organisation and externally, be results driven and an innovative thinker. You will possess effective time management skills and have the innate ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

You will be required to remain highly flexible in a changing and demanding environment while maintaining high attention to detail. It goes without saying that you will be excellent at written and verbal communication skills. You will also have experience working with Tax compliance, including income tax calculations, tax forecasts, tax returns and GST returns. Experience in Yardi and TM1 would also be advantageous.
