About You As a Senior Project Manager in the Transformation & Business Improvement team, you will play a key role within the Business & Private Bank Operations division. You will lead and co-ordinate resources required to implement and deliver large size projects of medium to high complexity, encompassing mainly business and some technical change. The role includes responsibility for initiating, managing and closing the projects and all processes such as quality/control, communication, stakeholder management, people leadership and knowledge harvesting. The role will be responsible for a standalone project or work directly with the senior leaders on a larger-scale/significant programs. The range of initiatives will span from a single project within a line of business in a single region, through to working across lines of business across multi-regions and in a complex stakeholder environment. Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Execution of delivery against key objectives and business outcomes
  • Management of stakeholders, SMEs and Business Improvement team
  • Delivery and simplification of change activities across process, policy, capability, automation and system

Your capabilities, experience & qualifications will include:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar senior PMO Lead, Business Improvement and Project Management role within a large scale complex organisation
  • In-depth knowledge and skills in Project Management / Business Improvement methodologies as PMP, AgilePM and/or Lean Six Sigma preferred
  • Background working in a Project Management Office overseeing programs of work for a business unit
  • Extensive experience leading and managing teams and matrix resources
  • Demonstrated expertise in a range of execution disciplines (e.g. Lean / 6 sigma / agile)
  • Proven knowledge of banking, especially business banking and lending preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
  • Highly evolved communication skills coupled with the ability to engage and influence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, maths or science preferred
