The Role

An opportunity currently exists for reliable and self-motivated Asset Inspectors to join our team based out of Rockhampton on a full-time basis.

The role delivers Asset Inspection and Maintenance Services in Central Queensland on the Ergon Energy distribution network.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Displaying a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Set work is completed on time in line with forecasted revenue and expense budgets.
  • Conducting minor defect repairs to ground supports, stays etc.
  • Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will be required to perform asset inspections throughout regional Queensland to service a new Contract.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Proven experience in understanding and applying safe working practices
  • Experience as Asset Inspector with proven knowledge of the Asset Inspection process, and a detailed understanding of electrical assets and maintenance requirements
  • Electricity and mechanically minded with basic mechanical skills
  • Ability to work under direction as well as autonomously with your own initiative and be self-motivated and outcome focuses
  • Ability to work in an outside environment and to perform manual tasks
  • Well-developed communication skills and able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Adaptable, focused and efficient and report issues when necessary in a timely manner
