JOB DESCRIPTION

Shortly the position of Chief Executive Officer of Boxing Australia Ltd. will become available and applications are now invited from interested applicants.

Boxing Australia is recognised by Sport Australia, the Australian Olympic Committee, Commonwealth Games Australia and the International Boxing Association (AIBA) as the organisation responsible for conducting and developing amateur boxing in Australia.

The CEO reports to the BAL Board and is responsible for all facets of day-to-day operations including managing a small team of staff delivering against agreed performance targets within the approved operational budget. Importantly, central to the role of the CEO is supporting BAL’s eight Member Associations and many volunteers across the sport toward the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

With the newly formed Combat Institute of Australia (CombatAUS) now supporting the high performance program, BAL will reprioritise its focus from high performance onto athlete participation growth, talent identification and pathway development, commercial development, expansion of membership base and supporting Member Associations.

Boxing Australia operates from an office located at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, in which is based the Chief Executive Officer, the National Administration Officer and the National Futures Coach.
