About the Mental Health Department

St. Vincent's Mental Health (SVMH) includes adult and aged area mental health services for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Mental Health - Health Information Manager within a service development team of a designated mental health service.

You will have oversight and responsibility for the Mental Health Program in relation to all health information systems, data quality and reporting. You will report to the Service Development Unit Manager.

You will be skilled in data management, information analysis and health information systems. You will have high level knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014 as well as the ability to engage various stakeholders including managers, clinicians and administration staff. You will have excellent communication skills and great attention to detail.

Duties

  • Coordination of the Client Management Interface (CMI) in the role of System Administrator for St Vincent's Adult and Aged Mental Health Services
  • Management and oversight of health information systems relevant to St Vincent's Mental Health, including but not limited to the Patient Administration System (PAS) and the Medical Record Online (MRO)
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health and Human Services and other statutory reporting requirements (including, but not limited to, the Mental Health Act (2014), the Freedom of Information Act (1982), Health Records Act (2001), the Family Violence and Child Information Sharing Scheme)
  • Set up appropriate data collection systems and leadership to clinical, management and administrative staff around local, legislative and sector changes in response to the St Vincent's

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

To be successful you will have a degree in Health Information Management and/or demonstrated 5 plus years' experience in comparable administration functions within the Victorian public sector Mental Health field including experience with the Client Management Interface (CMI) mental health database.

Health Information Manager Grade 2 Yr 1 - 4 - ($81,328.00 - $93,490.80)
