The Opportunity

The Research Fellow will join the Neural Systems and Behaviour Lab in the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health. This position will work on integrating computational models with experimental neuroimaging data with the goal of understanding the structure and function of large-scale brain networks. The research will combine elements of graph theory and network science, biophysical modelling, data science, machine learning, bioinformatics, genetics, and cognitive and clinical neuroscience to understand neuroimaging data acquire in humans and model organisms.

The Research Fellow will also have strong quantitative and programming skills and an excellent, nationally competitive track record as well as desirable experience with analysis of neuroimaging or related data. This position will require the appointee to work collaboratively as part of a larger, multidisciplinary team, providing analysis support for other team members and assisting in the supervision of students and other researchers.

Ideally, we are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, or cognate discipline or someone with an honours degree and be in the final year of a doctoral qualification.

The successful applicant will be appointed at either Level A or Level B, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Please specify in your cover letter the level that you are applying for.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
