National Sales Operations Manager

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a National Sales Operations Manager to join our Sales Team at our office based in the Sydney CBD.

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the Sales Operations agenda and be a trusted advisor to, & a key member of, the Independents leadership team. The breadth of this role provides critical support in both strategic direction as well as ensuring the efficient day to day functioning of the field sales team. 

This role has external supplier engagement through owning the day to day and strategic aspects of Accolades CRM system.

This role will lead the development & review of field territory optimisation across our called & non-called universe. A key part of this will be producing and further developing a range of sales team effectiveness reports and presenting these as part of the monthly cycle.

Your strong commercial acumen & attention to detail will be essential to providing key support for the Field Sales Director in setting & tracking annual territory targets & KPIs for the field team.

Through pro-active analysis of segmentation and customer targeting you will provide insights and identify strategic areas of growth & opportunity as well as areas that need to be addressed.

This role will work in close collaboration with Sales Managers in state, Commercial Planning & Activation and Commercial Finance & IT.

Key Accountabilities Include:

• Champion the end to end ownership of the new CRM system including capability training, system & input maintenance, reporting,

• Field incentive program - development & tracking of individual annual territory targets & KPIs for the field team

• Lead the end to end Territory review process on a 12-18mth basis to ensure we have the optimal field force deployment, assessing call frequency, customer penetration, capacity, opportunity identification & resource utilisation

• Development & tracking of field team targets – eg distribution targets, activity based sales targets

• Reporting – develop & maintain a weekly & monthly reporting suite to track & monitor performance

• Ensure on-going sales & customer data integrity & accuracy

• Regular analysis of depletions performance, segment analysis to identify key insights & opportunities to grow our business

• Lead other key projects eg B2B

About you

• Previous experience with Independent channels

• Previous experience in key accounts, field sales or sales operations, analysis

• Min 5-7 years’ experience in Liquor (wine favourable)
