The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

What you will be doing

Reporting directly to the Section Manager- Commercial Services, the focus of this position is to:

  • To create, implement, analyse and review strategic direction and management of Holiday Haven, including business planning, asset management, long term and annual financial planning, and operational reporting.
  • Manage and lead the daily operations of Holiday Haven staff, finances, marketing, Park Managers and assets to achieve Holiday Haven business objectives and goals, while ensuring optimal triple bottom line returns to Council.
  • To provide excellence in guest experience through the delivery of quality holiday accommodation, facilities, capital projects and the effective management of the Crown Land Reserves while providing benefit to Council and the community.
  • Ensure efficient processes and protocols for Holiday Haven’s compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.
  • Develop, implement and review trends to drive innovation and continuous change management programs to enable process improvements and business efficiency throughout Holiday Haven.
  • Continuous engagement and effective communication with all stakeholders

What we are looking for?

In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

Degree or equivalent, or extensive business experience greater than 10 years.Previous experience in a leadership position and thorough knowledge of strategic management with specialisation in accommodation or similar industry.Class C Driver’s Licence.Demonstrated success in aligning business strategy and operational activities. Experience in coordinating and overseeing maintenance and construction projects to ensure compliance and project delivery in scope, on time and within budget. Demonstrated success in promoting continuous learning to proactively achieve solutions for workplace improvement.Capacity to effectively manage a diverse and complex business to ensure the provision of timely and quality outputs.Experience in preparation and management of contracts, procurement and tendering processes

This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check. Applicants are required to apply and pay for this check if not already obtained.
