Your new role

As a Occupational Therapist/key worker you will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessments and therapy interventions to children (0-10 years) with significant development delays and challenges, funded through the NDIS
  • Liaising and collaborating with other professionals within the team and within the community, to ensure the provision of best practice principles to our clients
  • Advising on and prescribing aids and equipment for participants
  • Supporting, educating and networking families into relevant support services and organisations
  • Assisting to run therapy groups and parenting information groups/training
  • Assisting in the training and supervision of occupational therapy students and allied health assistant

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience (minimum 1 year) as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist working within the community.
  • Working knowledge and experience within the Early Intervention sector (Children 0-10 years), the NDIS, and experience in providing family centred, community based care to a diverse, multicultural population
  • A desire to continually develop and challenge yourself, a thirst for new knowledge
  • A proven track record in creating efficiency and meeting targets
  • Experience in a changing dynamic environment and ability to be flexible and adaptable in a time of change
  • A sense of humor
  • A passion for working with children and their families - must love kids!
