The Opportunity

Moonee Valley City Council currently has an exciting opportunity available for a highly experienced and motivated leader with extensive communications experience.

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Communications, you will lead and set the strategic direction of the digital and customer communications team through the development of relevant policies and procedures, management of websites, social media accounts and live streaming of Council meetings.

This position will provide strategic, high quality, timely advice to the organisation on digital and customer communications issues and direction. As an innovative leader, you will continually strive to introduce new ideas and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

To be successful you will have a relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience in a similar role, including expertise in website management and development, social media platforms and development and implementation of communications plans. You will be an excellent communicator and have a passion for keeping abreast of developments in online technology and electronic communications.

Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
