We are looking for an engineer to own the design, development, and verification of our display electrical technologies. You will be working with current display interfaces to help build components that will span from concept to mass production and be housed in a range of consumer electronics devices.

The design team is brand new and looking for an engineer that will help not only build a suite of products but will be a part of the emerging company culture. We make the best products for people looking to do their best work, anywhere. You will need to be comfortable with ambiguity as well as being forthcoming asking for help and show great levels of initiative.

You will work closely with manufacturing vendors to iterate functionality on our display technologies.

Interest in the consumer electronics space is essential as well as a passion for developing products.

We are looking for a self-motivated person who wants to grow both their higher-level skills in parallel to their technical skillsets.

Key Qualifications:

  • A relevant engineering degree or equivalent.
  • EE, circuit board design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems and software development.
  • A strong understanding of consumer electronics product development.
  • Experience or willingness in managing PCBa and component supplier through concept to mass production.


You will:

  • Own and lead electronic schematic design, collaborating with manufacturing electrical engineers at vendors from initial prototype to Mass Production builds
  • Select and organise the procurement of components.
  • Be able to identify EE related issues in the field. Self-led diagnosis with guidance from the team and support vendors issues include performance, thermal behavior, quality, failure analysis, poor schematic design by vendors, PCB layout, electro-mechanical system integration.
  • Develop embedded systems and necessary software for our display and touch technologies using C or similar.
  • Coordinate with vendors to create and manage the development of display and touch technologies.
  • Manage updates to display architecture and display driving software in conjunction with our vendors.
  • Participate in team design brainstorms from conception through to final realisation.
  • Communicate strongly and collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems with mechanical specification and vice versa.
  • Ideally, have made your own products or gadgets as a hobby (though not a deal-breaker for us if you have not).

  • Provide international travel for periods of between 2-4 weeks to oversee product builds.
