JOB DESCRIPTION

Who is FLIP?

FLIP sits at the heart of the logistics ecosystem, enabling senders and carriers to operate, disrupt and grow in powerful and effective ways.

We harness the power of product, engineering and customer-centric design to build high quality, elegant solutions that we are proud of and our customers love to use.

We are made up of a bunch of curious technologists bringing a fresh perspective to modernising the logistics industry. We thrive on solving the hardest problems and this is reflected in our culture which encourages us to create, experiment and collaborate with our customers.

As an established, profitable and growing company we take our responsibilities to our customers seriously as we continue to build upon our data-driven platform to create a new ecosystem of integrated logistics.

While we are working 100% remotely at the moment, once the pandemic has a resolution, we will reopen our office and return to flexible working.

Role mission

To take high-value feature and capability opportunities and collaborate with customers, UX and engineering to define and deliver amazing experiences across the supply chain, logistics and transportation industry.

  • Own, maintain and communicate the roadmap, working with your peers in engineering to shape the discovery and delivery of the work that delivers meaningful value to the customer and business.
  • Develop and promote shared understanding of the customer and commercial impacts of the work being undertaken, amongst the team and wider business.
  • Make and enable great decisions within the team around what to deliver and how best to deliver it, being mindful of dependencies and potential impacts.

Who you are

An analytical, strategic thinker. Data is at the centre of your approach to developing solutions. You use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers.

An influencer. You are a great communicator with strong leadership skills and demonstrated success working with people at all levels and across functions and cultures.

Proactive. You are an outcome-driven self-starter. You work with domain experts to become one, leveraging that expertise to invent amazing solutions and better configure systems, tools, and practices.

Hungry for growth. You love to be criticized and you view failure as an opportunity, but you are annoyed enough by it to fail in different ways going forward. You enjoy going the extra mile, and strive to earn your seat at the table.

Determined. You are the type of person who asks questions, you share your work, and you are constantly challenging yourself and others to do it better.

A team player. You are genuine in your interactions and act as a bridge between the team and key stakeholders without gatekeeping or silo building.
