About Keypoint Law

One of Australia’s most talked about law firms, Keypoint Law is looking for a marketing professional to join this young award-winning business. Located in Sydney’s CBD, Keypoint is disrupting the legal profession and following in the footsteps of its sister firm in the UK (Keystone Law) which is widely regarded as the most successful listed law firm and challenger in the sector.

Keypoint is unique in that it offers lawyers a different way of working, one with true flexibility and control, using custom built technology. In the 7 years since Keypoint was established, our firm has grown to 50 partner-level lawyers, with ambitions to grow to 150 partner-level lawyers over the next 10 years.

This vibrant and dynamic business would suit an ambitious, talented marketing executive or manager who is ready to grow into and lead our marketing function. Someone who has experience in a fast pace growing business and would like a role where they have more responsibility and autonomy to drive projects forward and accelerate the firm's growth to the next level. Initially this is a standalone role but with scope to grow a team.

Overview of the role

The role covers 3 core areas, working alongside our firm’s CEO, and our Director of Corporate Development:

1) Brand marketing: Growing our firm's brand profile, and recruitment marketing, so we continue to attract the best lawyers in the profession;

2) Business development support: Supporting our lawyers with marketing and BD collateral for client pitches (using existing templates);

3) Internal communications: helping to further develop and strengthen the firm's culture and esprit de corps. 

Roles and responsibilities

Duties include:

· Promoting the firm through the legal and business press, writing press releases, writing award nominations, and generally helping to grow the firm's brand profile in the Australian market;

· Devising and running recruitment campaigns to attract top lawyers to the firm, including through LinkedIn, Facebook, Lawyers Weekly and Australasian Lawyer;

· Drafting brochures, cap statements and other BD collateral to support client pitches (using existing templates);

· Managing the firm's websites and generating new content;

· Identifying PR opportunities;

· Writing and distributing client email newsletters

· Managing social media channels; 

· Implementing the firm's brand guidelines (developed by our UK firm Keystone Law)

· Supporting our calendar of internal social events, such as our Winter and Summer Parties, monthly drinks, CPD days, etc;

· Writing internal communications, including on our intranet and periodic internal newsletters.

Role requirements

· About 5 -7 years' marketing/communications experience, preferably within the professional services sector (ideally within Law)

· Highly driven and self-motivated 

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment 

· Can do attitude with strong attention to detail

· High level of written English, especially spelling and grammar

· Strong digital marketing skills 

· Able to interact effectively with key stakeholders at all levels

· Passionate about learning

· Software skills (essential): Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Social

· Software skills: (preferred): WordPress, InDesign, photoshop (although we use an external consultant for graphic design).
