Your role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solution Support Specialist to join our Wealth and Capital Markets platform Technology Team. The Wealth & Capital Markets platform comprises the Advice, Investments, Life & Super, Property, and Trustees business units. The strategic purpose of the platform is to link the organisation’s valuable efforts in helping Australians secure their financial wellbeing with capital and social infrastructure needs of the communities.

The primary objective of this role is to deliver best practice service support and implementation of solutions across all aspects of the Wealth & Capital Markets Technology portfolio.

The Solution Support Specialist will be a key contributor in a small team, you will conduct analysis and classify first and second level support for any computer related requests. You will proactively resolve problems by assisting stakeholders or referring to the relevant staff member for resolution.

This is a permanent position in our Melbourne office on Spring St.

About You

  • Tertiary degree in IT or equivalent commercial experience
  • Proven experience in an IT support team.
  • Ideally financial services background and have worked in a complex environment
  • Exposure to Microsoft Reporting Services
  • Hands on support of business systems and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting key business applications in financial services
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvement
  • A service desk background
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Experience in SQL query and reporting
  • Experience supporting applications-built MS SQL, Rocket U2, Ingres, MS Server, Linux
  • Experience in maintaining data integration solutions
  • Experience with ITSM tools like JIRA and Service now
  • ITIL experience
  • Effective communication and committed to resolving IT issues in the most efficient and customer focused manner
