About your opportunity

We are seeking a Primary Care Engagement Lead to join the Prevention Division. Reporting to the Primary Care Engagement Manager your role is to:

  • Manage engagement with the Victorian primary health care sector (particularly GPs in general practice) within the context of cancer screening, hepatitis and HPV immunisation, and the management of patients with genetic cancer risk.
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Engagement arm of the SEDI team to develop and deliver primary care cancer screening projects and education and training programs to support CCV’s strategic goal ‘Detect – Increase participation equitably in cancer screening, early detection and HPV immunisation programs’.
  • Provide expert advice on policies, guidelines, research and strategies to reach priority population groups, in the context of capacity building of health professionals.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health information, primary health care, education, training or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, implementation and evaluation, within the health sector.
  • A high degree of understanding of the primary health sector, (having worked in Primary Health Networks, Medicare Locals or Divisions of General Practice) at a practical level, as well as the ability to monitor the policy environment at both a state and national level.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage delivery of innovative education and training strategies in the primary health and community health sector.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including the ability to develop, maintain and lead strong collaborative partnerships with individuals and peak bodies.
