Your day to day

As Area Director of Sales & Marketing, you'll develop, lead and implement comprehensive multi-year strategic sales and marketing plan to contribute to total revenue, market performance and profit goals across a portfolio of hotels within the region. You will keep ahead of the competition by strategically monitoring the market and players, pricing and positioning accordingly. You'll attract, develop & retain a talented team of Commercial professionals tasked with creating seamless guest journeys and partner with them to ensure long term sustainability.

As commercial leader for your base hotel, the newly renovated Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach, you'll develop and implement the total sales and marketing strategy to ensure that revenue and room night sales goals are achieved; revenue, sales and marketing strategies are set; tactical plans are created and implemented; and that results are monitored and achieved.

You'll drive tactical sales plans and special programs that drive measurable, incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase business volume during off-peak periods, increase local food and beverage and banquet sales, and enhance the image of the hotel in the local community.

Review advertising print and other media for the hotel. Work with advertising agencies, consulting firms and vendors to maximize advertising investments and ensure ads represent brand identity and are appropriate for target audience.




What we need from you

At least 6 years experience in hotel commercial leadership role and multi-location experience would be an advantage. Your experience will include a strong understanding of all market segments and revenue management principles with strong MICE experience an advantage. You will also have experience managing and developing sales, marketing and revenue teams.

You will demonstrate commercial acumen by maintaining awareness of unfolding business performance, market influences and trends and commercial agility by adapting tactics and plans to enable the hotel’s businesses to stay ahead of the curve.

You'll be known for great communication skills (written and verbal) and a passion for delivering results, developing people and yourself.

You'll also bring the ability to manage complex relationships and thrive in an environment where you are engaging with key stakeholders across multiple locations and projects.
