A unique opportunity is available for a Theatre Technician/CSSD Technician to join the Perioperative Department on a Part-time or Casual basis in an established integrated healthcare facility on the southwest coast of Victoria. The successful Theatre Technician will have effective communication skills, planning/organizational skills, and analytical and teamwork skills. The Theatre Technician will be reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager.

The Medical Facility:
Offering a comprehensive range of Primary Health, Community and Home Care services which comprises acute, primary health and aged residential care service. The integrated health facility is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards, the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd, and Home and Community Care National Service Standards. The team consists of experienced, highly trained GP's, allied health practitioners and specialists dedicated to providing the community with the highest quality healthcare. The medical facility is in Portland, a city famous for its extremely liberal and environmentally friendly behaviour. 

Eligibility Criteria

 • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families/carers, staff and management
• Ability to promote cultural diversity and awareness
• Capacity to work in accordance with compliance requirements, PDH policies, procedures and direction for example OH&S, Risk Management and Quality Improvement
• Demonstrated currency of practice and continued professional development
• Ability to adopt workplace wellness principles ensuring mental and physical self-care
• Ability to demonstrate PDH values and mission in daily practice
