JOB DESCRIPTION

Sous Chef required for a much loved full service premium restaurant in the city fringe.
Steakhouse experience required.

Job Description:

Working alongside the Head Chef, you will excel at working in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment, with previous experience working in premium steakhouse restaurants. Some of your day-to-day duties will include the management of operations, kitchen staff, budgets and other kitchen administration. On top of this, you will have a passion for leading, mentoring, and motivating a team to creating truly memorable and delicious dining experiences.

Experience required:

* Experience in running a kitchen team of 6 + staff in a similar high-volume environment.
* At least 2 + years of proven kitchen management experience.
* A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification.
* Proven ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team to achieve high results.
* Effective management of kitchen costs.
* Working knowledge of OH&S/WH&S.
* Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster.
