A vacancy for a qualified Radiographer (MIT) exists at our client’s integrated medical facility located in a city on the southwest coast of Victoria. Applicants with mammography experience or willing to train in mammography are preferred for this role. This Radiographer role also includes participation in the on-call roster for after-hours and weekends as required.
The successful Radiographer will be joining a team of experienced, highly trained GP's, allied health practitioners and specialists who use established standards and evidence to underpin practice and strives to deliver high quality diagnostic medical imaging services in a well-established medical facility, understanding and have a genuine interest in a patient's welfare with compassion and strong interpersonal skills. we encourage you to apply for this position.

The Medical Facility

The Allied Health Medical Facility is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards, the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd, and Home and Community Care National Service Standards. The health service provides an integrated health service that comprises acute, primary health and aged residential care with Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Psychology services. The medical facility has 69 registered inpatient beds with a 24-hour, seven days a week Urgent Care Centre (Emergency Department). There are 2 operating theatres (averaging 8 elective lists per week), with an 8-bed day procedure unit. PDH also provides oncology/haematology, dialysis, and multiple other specialist services. Inpatient services are available for general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics, dialysis, chemotherapy, palliative care and transition care services. Elective surgery services include orthopaedics, general, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, plastics, urology, gynaecology, MaxFax, ENT, etc. There are on-site radiology, pathology, and pharmacy services. There is a 30-bed aged care facility and a GP super-clinic attached to the hospital, with a comprehensive range of primary health, community, and home care services.

Eligibility Criteria

 • Bachelor Degree Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic radiography or Diploma Applied Science (Medical Radiography) 
• Current AHPRA registration as Medical Imaging Technologist 
• Current ASMIRT Statement of Accreditation 
• Current DOH (Vic) Radiation Use Licence
• Practice excellence in producing very high-quality imaging examinations utilizing skills that align with AHPRA registration requirements & ASMIRT competencies
• Capacity to work in accordance with compliance requirements, PDH policies, procedures and direction for example OH&S, Risk Management and Quality Improvement
• Demonstrated currency of practice and continued professional development
• Ability to adopt workplace wellness principles ensuring mental and physical self-care
• Ability to demonstrate PDH values and mission in daily practice
