Permanent Registration and Compliance role within State Government

Your new company
Our client is a statutory body protecting Western Australians, both architects and consumers with any architectural services, registrations and licencing issues. The board is also responsible for accrediting architecture courses within Universities and acts a main body to comply with standards across the industry.

Your new role
As Compliance/ Registration officer you will be responsible for:

  • Assess, process and follow-up registration, and licence, applications accurately and in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Co-ordinate, process and assist architects with the annual renewal of registration and licence applications.
  • Manage the registration component of Board meeting Agendas and attend to all registration business arising from Board meetings.
  • Manage the Architectural Practice Examination process from end to end - including enrolments, conduct of the National Examination Paper, scheduling and arranging oral interviews, corresponding with candidates and examiners and preparing relevant reports for the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia.
  • Co-ordinate the annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) audit.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideal candidates will have a background in regulatory / vocational regulations / statutory authority
  • Key skills in compliance
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, communication and consultation skills across a broad range of internal, and external, stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills including attention to detail, ability to prioritise, effective time management and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in responding to phone and email-based customer queries with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience working in an office environment, including all aspects of office administration procedures.
