Account Executive - Small to Medium Business

About the Role
The Small to Medium Business Account Executive (AE-SMB) is responsible for the successful execution of focused strategies to meet core revenue objectives. The AE-SMB will primarily focus on the Small to Medium Business (SMB) market which generally incorporates organisations between 5 and 50 staff.

This role will incorporate a concentrated effort around your assigned territory and will propose systems on two fronts – acquiring new business and existing customers. Nexon rewards Recurring Revenue and Non-Recurring Revenue streams associated with core Nexon products and services and approved 3rd party products and services.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned Account portfolio
  • Development of new business in both existing accounts and new customers to Nexon
  • Achieve revenue targets set out for your portfolio
  • Achieve On-Target Earnings as detailed in the Nexon QLD Incentive Scheme
  • Compliance with OH&S policies and procedures
  • Any other duties as directed/or required.
Sales Development
  • Drive a digital engagement strategy to improve and increase the customer engagement with SMB customers
  • Promote the Nexon name and ensure the brand is fully protected on an ongoing basis
  • Work with customers and internal/external consultants to develop new business
  • Work with customers to resign non contracted services where appropriate
  • Build and manage an individual pipeline of revenues
  • Work with Marketing to develop customer engagement strategies
Performance Measures/Key Result Areas:
  • Achievement of Quarterly and Annual Revenue and Gross Margin Targets
  • Evidence of increased sales levels within the core Nexon Products and Services.
  • Increased referrals and business opportunities for core Nexon Products and Services
  • Achieve Account Portfolio In-contract targets
  • CRM adherence
Education & Qualifications:
  • Higher School Certificate and/or a relevant Diploma/Cert IV qualification
Background & Experience:
  • Proven performer in achieving sales targets to the SMB market
  • Experience in establishing and nurturing customer relationships
  • An understanding of any the following areas will be highly regarded:
    • Cyber Security
    • Telecommunications
    • Networking & IOT
    • Unified Communications & Contact Centre
    • Cloud Services
    • Microsoft Business Solutions
    • Modern Workplace – Managed Desktop, Microsoft 365
  • An understanding of the SMB market, the competition, and local conditions
  • Capacity to work with staff in including business leads, sales support, consultants, solution architects, project managers and customer service engineers

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate the business benefits of innovative technologies at senior levels.
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
