Quality and Risk Coordinator

This position is 76 hours per fortnight

Sunnybank Private Hospital is a 122 patient-bed hospital13 kilometers southwest of Brisbane CBD. With a focus on providing individualized, patient centered care, Sunnybank Private has a proud history of offering a range of services including surgical, medical, oncology and maternity.

The Quality and Risk Coordinator (QaRC)is to provide quality assurance support and accreditation leadership for our facility. The QaRC role is reporting to and overseen by the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • ACHS accreditation
  • Prepare and submit Corporate Quality KPIs - capturing & analysing, & action plans
  • Prepare and submit accreditation evidence to ACHS
  • Prepare and provide Executive Quality data reporting
  • Close current accreditation actions
  • Daily Riskman management and review
  • Risk register management and review
  • Monitoring of Qualtrics patient feedback
  • HACs data review, analysis and action plans
  • Quality Audit management coordination & action plans
  • Complaints management - letter writing and responses, delegation and assisting managers
  • Policy and document control, management & reviews
  • Healthscope policies communication to Senior Leadership Team
  • Ensure Shared Learnings distributed to relevant Senior Leadership Team Managers
  • Ensure Shared Learnings tabled at various internal Governance meetings
  • Responsible for management & prep of data for the Medication and Quality, Risk and Consumer Committees
  • Mortality Reviews
  • Assisting and participating in any QLD Health self-assessments and visits or Corporate Quality visits or requests.
  • SPH Intranet management – QSSS
  • Communication with internal and external staff/people with any related quality assurance queries

Selection Criteria:

  • Have experience in Quality Assurance, Best Practice and NSQHS Standards
  • Professional presentation with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills including all common IT applications, particularly Excel, Word, & Powerpoint
  • Ability to work in a highly challenging environment
  • Advanced ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and problem solving ability
