About the Program
Based in the RAAF Base Edinburgh, Airbus will be working with the Air Force on maintaining the new P-8 Poseidon. The P-8A Poseidon is built specifically as a military aircraft and has advanced sensors and mission systems, including a state-of-the-art multi-role radar, high definition cameras, and an acoustic system with four times the processing capacity of the AP-3C Orions.
About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planning Co-ordinator to join our team based in Edinburgh in a permanent full time and fixed terms positions. In these hands-on roles you will be responsible for the planning and forecasting of P-8 Base Maintenance activity and identifying Aircraft Servicing requirements with an understanding of outstanding Deferred Defects and the development of work schedules to ensure production timeframes are maintained. Specifically you will:

* Review and evaluate technical documentation to identify the maintenance tasks necessary to support the asset or aircraft
* Analyse supplier and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommendations and data to determine the resources necessary to support the relevant weapon system.
* Action Technical Information and Logistics processes within the Engineering Management System to assess and model Australian spare requirements.
* Maintain maintenance and asset management related systems (CAMM2) including configuration, usage and maintenance support requirements data.
* Participate in the transition of component life details through interfacing data bases – CAMM2, OOMA and DECPLATE.
* Identify opportunities and test solutions to align P-8A Co-operative Program (RAAF and US NAVY) data management systems.
* Drive standardisation and continuous improvement through simplification and optimisation of processes, whilst ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory requirement

About you
The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:

* Minimum 5 years' technical experience in, aircraft maintenance engineering (Part 145 or equivalent) or CAM (Part M or equivalent) services in the aviation industry
* Extensive technical background and the planning of maintenance within a complex operating environment
* Detailed knowledge of key maintenance management processes, including maintenance management systems, planning, equipment and parts management, and maintenance delivery types (base/deeper/operational/flight line/component etc.)
* Extensive understanding of interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain
