The Opportunity
Be part of the newly created Neuroscience Mood team, making a difference to the lives of patients living with treatment-resistant depression with the launch the first novel agent in more than 30 years. You will work with a highly qualified cross-functional team with a ‘one team’ approach and a high level of support and resource.

Reporting to the Commercial Lead, Mood your key focus will be to;

  • Build stakeholder maps within identified treatment centres, validate site suitability for mood and identify formulary/access pathways for product uptake.
  • Develop appropriate treatment centres for mood products, engaging with key stakeholders to discuss potential funding and delivery models, access/formulary pathways, and access for administration to patients and incorporation into treatment pathways.
  • Support mood product training requirements at each prioritized site and support implementation.
  • Establish criteria that prioritize target key accounts that will drive business focus and develop outcome value and measures.
  • Understand local market dynamics and drivers behind opportunities or challenges. Provide the brand teams (state and national) with local market insights, relevant data analysis and mining (e.g. KPI’s of importance, trends within health districts etc.).
  • Champion for Janssen, Neuroscience Business Unit the value proposition(s) enhancing company reputation and ensuring the company is positioned as a preferred partner with key stakeholders.
  • Scan the state based, AHS environment on a regular basis to surface new opportunities and identify challenges as they relate to Neuroscience strategic imperatives.
  • Engage prioritized customer accounts in conjunction with state leadership teams around patient support programs to increase uptake.


It’s all about YOU

  • Tertiary qualification in business, science, medicine, pharmacy, life science or pharmaceutical degree
  • Substantial experience in the pharmaceutical or related business industry (e.g. Medical Devices)
  • Solid understanding of the Australian Healthcare System
  • Advanced degree in economics, finance, public health, health economics, healthcare management, business or other relevant discipline (optional)
  • Understanding of local and international health policy issues
  • Product Commercialization and launch experience
  • In depth understanding of the regulatory, reimbursement and government health policy environment
