JOB DESCRIPTION

Take the next step in your career in a highly rewarding role as a Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced psychologist to join the Psychology Consult Service. In this role, you will prepare Behaviour Support Plans for NDIS-eligible mental health consumers and provide time-limited positive behaviour support when appropriate. You will work across the CALHN acute mental health wards based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Glenside Campus.

In this integral role, you will monitor NDIS-related psychology services to identify clinical risks, emerging trends and opportunities for improvement and implement required service changes to meet changing needs. You may also provide advice, education and training to hospital units and outside agencies. Our psychologists work in a collaborative, supportive environment with opportunities for ongoing training and development.

You must hold an appropriate degree (Masters Degree in Clinical or Health Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the Psychology Board of Australian (PsyBA) and have general registration with PsyBA.

To be considered for appointment at the AHP3 level, you must also be endorsed in Clinical and/or Health Psychology specialist area of practice, hold approved supervisor status with PsyBA at all levels of supervision, and have a demonstrated ability to offer supervision to psychology trainees. Demonstrated abilities in communication, liaison and teamwork are also required.
