The People Business Partner is a newly created role within PIRSA’s People and Culture Unit. The primary purpose of the role is to establish business partnerships with one or more PIRSA Divisions to provide proactive and strategic human resource services that facilitate the Division’s business. The People Business Partner will maintain a thorough understanding of the Division, its objectives and priorities, and its workforce; and will provide coaching, insight and advice to divisional leaders and managers on workforce management, workforce planning, performance enhancement and innovative HR solutions to deliver on business objectives within legislative and policy requirements. The People Business Partner will collaborate across the People and Culture program and lead the implementation of initiatives related to talent acquisition and development, diversity and inclusion, employee relations and culture change strategies across PIRSA’s divisions.

The role contributes to delivering Divisional directives through facilitating workforce management requirements and Corporate Services objectives to provide consistent and quality advice and support services to Divisions and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

Special Conditions

  • Multiple positions with varying contract lengths including 2 ongoing positions.
  • Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive is desirable.
  • Travel to PIRSA sites and regional locations will be required.
  • Out of hours work and overnight stays may be required.
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
  • This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.   • Desirable: A degree in Human Resource Management, business management or psychology or post graduate studies in leadership or business management are considered highly desirable.
