The Position

We invite suitably experienced and qualified candidates to apply for this position. The role of Head of Counselling is to oversee the provision of child and adolescent psychological services to all students. Delivering a flexible approach in responding to student wellbeing and mental health needs, including acute needs, this role ensures the School provides the necessary support to students and families within the School. The Head of Counselling facilitates student access and participation utilising psychological expertise in education and learning to maximise educational outcomes for students and supports and builds the capacity of the School community in alignment with the strategic and annual action plans of the School. This leadership position incorporates the role of School Psychologist.

The Head of Counselling is a key member of the Wellbeing Team and leads the work of the School Psychologists employed at the School

This is role presents a great opportunity for career progression for any candidate with five or more years of practice experience. Experience working in schools or working specifically with children and adolescents would be advantageous.
