About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer / Technical Officer to join our Airframe Equipment and Integration Engineering team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Team Lead Equipment (In Service) you will be required to provide technical solutions to support the MRH and ARH In-Service Fleet.
Specifically you will:

* Develop, review and approve engineering investigations and advice including Authorised Maintenance Data and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness;
* Perform and manage technical investigation of problems or changes emanating from the Original Equipment Manufacturer, maintenance, production, logistics or operating environment;

* Undertake Technical Information Review and Continued Airworthiness Approval;
* Develop and review design change artefacts for Repairs and Engineering Change Proposals associated with Modifications and Substitutions;
* Maintain data files, engineering records and electronic databases as required to accurately report and record engineering decisions;
* Liaise with other business and functional units, operators, maintainers, airworthiness authorities and members of the relevant Support Network in Australia and overseas as appropriate to progress your tasks.



About you
We are looking for applicants with a positive attitude who take full responsibility of their tasking to deliver on time and without any compromise to safety or quality. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a team player and have well developed verbal and written communication skills. The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:

* Bachelor of Engineering (relevant to mechanical/aerospace) from a nationally accredited program or equivalent; or an aircraft maintenance engineer/technician qualification in a Mechanical trade stream;
* Minimum 3 years post Bachelor of Engineering working in a relevant engineering field as a practicing design engineer in the aviation industry or Minimum 5 years' technical experience in either aircraft maintenance engineering (Part 145 or equivalent) or Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) (Part M or equivalent) services in the aviation industry;
* Experience using Product Lifecycle Management Tools (PLMT), preferably Enovia
* Approve level Continuing Airworthiness Authority or similar or ability to attain this level within reasonable timeframe;
* Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g. DASR, CAANZ,CASA, etc.), standards and best practices in all aspects of their field of expertise;
* Capacity for self-directed task management in a high workload environment; ability to work effectively with employees from other functional domains.
