Seeking an experienced Document Controller who is looking for a stable and flexible position within the mining sector to commence on a 12M FTC based in the CBD. Fantastic working environment that offers an open and inclusive working environment.

Client Details

My client are a mining and metals firm located in the heart of the CBD. Work amongst a motivated team who are eager to achieve common goals and objectives.


This role will look after the end to end document control processes, as well as general project administration and office support. Key duties will include:

  • Carry out document control functions including allocation of document numbers, quality checking and uploading of documentation, distribution, transmission and superseding of documentation;

    * Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure all documentation is presented in line with industry best practice;

    * Maintain procedures, work instructions and templates for the project;

    * Management and creation of processes and workflows;

    * Ensures the promotion and awareness of documentation requirements throughout the organisation and provides training as required.

    * Management of EPCM, external vendors and consultants including allocating document numbers, providing access to EDMS, insuring documentation meets contractual requirements and training as required; and

    * Expediting, reporting and ensuring service standards are maintained.

    * Perform quality assurance reviews of the system and undertake resolution of document control problems, issues and ideas for improvement

    * Liaise with EPCM and Contractor document controllers (and other stakeholders) to ensure the integrity of information for the owner's team and EPCM has consistent principles applied with the classification and identification of information

    * Action new user requests, provide inductions, communications / awareness sessions, coaching and training for internal and external stakeholders

    * Maintain and simplify, where appropriate, how to guides (step by step instructions) for document control

    * Understand, maintain and develop the stakeholder model to map securities appropriately in file share, grant securities only as required


To be considered for this role you will have a minimum of 6-8 years of Document Control experience, and be well versed in external stakeholder engagement.
