About the Role:
Our client is seeking an individual with an outstanding attitude, strong IT skills and desire to expand their career with in customer focused service desk environment. If you possess exceptional client service skills and have a passionate and dynamic approach to your role, then we would like to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of the ITS Service Desk team providing first and second tier computer support and provide effective and timely follow up to customers as outlined in service level agreement and best practice standards.
  • Provide quality problem analysis to resolve IT issues over the telephone, or refer problems to the appropriate specialist areas.
  • Utilise automated service desk tools provided to ensure effective work flow and escalation practices.
  • Prioritise and allocate tasks, meet deadlines and manage own work flows using a high level of initiative with little or no supervision, to ensure tasks are completed in a client focused manner within defined service levels.
  • Participate and be accountable for following ITS Service Desk administration and technical functions, policies and procedures; and strive to achieve Key Performance Indicators as instructed by management.
  • Participate as an energetic member in a dynamic team environment.
  • Promote the ITS Service Desk and market departmental ICT standards to clients.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven ability in IT Service Desk operations, including analytical and problem-solving abilities for identifying, defining and solving technical and operational problems.
  • Proven ability to acquire knowledge of a modern ICT environment with solid technical experience in relation to solving problems with network aware software and hardware.
  • Proven ability to supervise own work flow, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a professional and positive manner utilising a high level of initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability in interpersonal, team building and negotiation skills in an IT Service Desk environment.
  • Proven ability in providing excellent customer service and oral and written communication skills and an understanding of equity in the workplace.
