Skills and Experiences:
To be considered for this role you must possess:

  • Certificate IV Community Services or equivalent qualifications. If you do not possess this qualification you must be enrolled in the course and provide proof of enrolment
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with youth with high complex needs such as
  • risk taking behaviours
  • self-harm
  • other mental health issues such as PTSD.
  • Certificate in Alcohol and Other Drugs is highly regarded but not essential
  • Theoretical knowledge and understanding of therapeutic practices
  • Knowledge and experience in providing trauma informed care
  • Resilience, empathy and flexibility
  • Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously
  • Strong understanding of compliance and legislation in the industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Current Open Drivers Licence and reliable transport
  • Current Working with Children/Vulnerable People clearances or able to obtain
  • Current National Police Check (within last 3 months) or able to obtain
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, early morning starts, day shifts, nights with sleep overs may also be required. Availability over Public Holidays is highly regarded.
