What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Coffs Clinical Network (CCN) Clinical Director of Medicine, the VMO Endocrinologist will provide a contemporary comprehensive specialist service, assist in the education role of Coffs Harbour Health Campus and provide clinical care to patients within the Coffs Clinical Network.

The successful applicant will be registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Endocrinologist and /or overseas trained specialist pathways.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases

If you are applying for a Category A position, under the NSW Health Policy Directive PD2020_017, evidence of current immunity status that complies with the policy must be supplied.

Selection Criteria

  1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Endocrinologist, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
  2. Demonstrated significant clinical experience in Endocrinology and evidence of competence in skills relevant to regional centre hospital practice.
  3. Excellent Communication and liaison skills, fostering positive and productive working relationships between team members and with other disciplines. 
  4. Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education relevant to Endocrinology including teaching of medical students, JMOs, Nursing Staff, and other staff as required and an ongoing commitment to research. 
  5. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to clinical quality improvement, accreditation requirements and peer review.
