Work Type: Permanent - Full Time

Permanent, Full time (average of 76 hours per fortnight)

Rostered hours (working across weekends, weekdays, and public holidays)

As a Waste Truck Driver/Labourer, you will be required to work on a roster over six days collecting waste from residences, parks, and businesses in an efficient manner while adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a high level of customer service.

To be successful in this role, you are able to communicate with members of the team and the public in a respectful and professional way. You will have the ability to work independently and possess good time management skills.

A current HR driver’s licence and experience in the operation of side loader and rear loader waste collection vehicles is essential for this role.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Current and valid ‘HR’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  2. Experience in waste collection vehicle operation.
  3. Experience in dealing with the public.
  4. Developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to work without supervision.
  5. Developed interpersonal skills
  6. Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.
  7. Certificate 3 in Transport and Logistics (desirable)
  8. Occupational Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card (desirable)
  9. Basic Information Technology awareness (desirable)

This position offers a weekly wage of $1,358.42 per week gross which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates.
