This role sits within our Asset Maintenance department. The Asset Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and renewal of Council’s assets throughout the region. The areas of responsibility are primarily Roads and Drains, Parks, Cleansing, Construction, Fleet and Building and Facilities infrastructure. The Asset Maintenance department is one of the largest departments within Council, maintaining essential community infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region.

The role

Your responsibilities will include assisting with maintenance labouring tasks on designated parks infrastructure as directed by your leader. Some of the tasks you will be expected to carry out in this position on a daily basis will be basic carpentry works, concreting, painting, fencing and other designated tasks related to parks infrastructure.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have experience in a similar role or a role requiring a similar skill set, experience in the use of maintenance and construction equipment, a current MR class driver's license and a Construction Induction Card competency card.

Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement

Remuneration: $57,221 pa + super (76 hour fortnight)
