The Opportunity:

Maxima, in partnership with Westpac are currently seeking committed individuals to undertake a business traineeship. Across 18-months you will be working fulltime and studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business in the Customer Service Assistant stream.

The Role:

This position provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders an opportunity to engage with their local community as an Indigenous Connection Banker. As the first point of contact for Westpac Bank, you will provide high quality customer service, assisting with enquires across all Westpac products and services.

Duties:

  • Respond to incoming and outgoing enquiries
  • Case note management
  • Prioritising and actioning customer needs
  • Provide banking solutions to clients across all services and products
  • Additional administrative tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Exhibit a passionate and positive work attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Takes initiative and proficient problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Active user and promoter of technology
