In a nutshell:

  • State of the art machines and equipment

About the role:

As a Postal Technical Officer, you will be a part of the new team working across multiple sites in Melbourne's North and South East

You will:

  • Make safety the top priority for all your work
  • Keep our mail and parcel processing machines in top working order through corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Know how to pinpoint problems and repair complex faults
  • Accurately record all plant and material maintenance transactions (including planning) using SAP
  • Work as part of a team on a rotating roster with morning, afternoon and night shifts, with an RDO every fortnight

You’ll be working with state of the art equipment that will provide you with exposure to the industry, in a reputable organisation that will set you up for long term success.

What we’re looking for:

    • Practical experience monitoring and repairing processing equipment
    • Experience in the diagnosis, repair and monitoring of processing equipment and systems is highly desirable
    • Exposure to material handling systems (conveyors and sortation equipment)
    • Experience working in a team based environment, liaising effectively with stakeholders and the ability to work independently as well

    Minimum qualification/s required are:

    • Certificate 3 or 4 in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
    • VIC A Grade Electrical licence
    • Minimum 2-year experience in a relevant role

Pay Rate:

  • Salary base from; $65,904 + 12% super (package $73,812) + penalty rates + potential over time
  • Penalty shifts apply to the morning and afternoon shifts (15%) and the night shift (30%) on top of the base salary
  • Penalty shifts also apply on weekends (with potential overtime available) with Saturdays being 50% and Sundays 100%
