  • Based in Student and Academic Services at the City West campus
  • Full-time, continuing position
  • Commencement Salary: $80,477 per annum (plus up to 17% superannuation)
About The Role

As the Business Analyst: Exams and Results, you will be responsible for overseeing process integrity and leading activities to ensure the effective operation of the University’s examinations and results processes. You will undertake ongoing maintenance, analysis and improvement of exams and results processes to ensure consistent, high quality outcomes and service delivery.

Core Responsibilities
  • Schedule and publish examination timetables and coordinate the entry and official release of final results data within the student administration system
  • Coordinate and oversee the setup of exam venues and event management processes (including leading and managing exam venue staff)
  • Develop business requirements, functional specifications and testing documents for systems and interfaces
  • Maintain systems and ensure the effective testing and implementation of new software releases
  • Monitor and validate data to ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency and run system queries to extract data for analysis
  • Provide leadership and support to the Exams and Results team to meet deadlines and achieve high quality operational and service outcomes
  • Develop management information reports for senior staff, Council, boards, or committees
  • Provide high level reliable advice, training, and assistance in relation to examination and results processes
Essential

Skills And Experience

  • Ability to manage complex information systems and processes through the use of highly developed analytical and information management skills
  • A high degree of computer literacy and the ability to troubleshoot system related problems using available tools such as database reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to work with technical, academic and administrative staff at all levels of the organisation
